Having been approached by MJ Clarke & Sons to provide a suitable solution for a leaking, pre-existing joint located in Aldi’s main car park entrance, Larsen Contracts put forward the FloorBridge joint specification. Saw cutting and breaking out works was conducted in two separate halves during working hours with a traffic management system in place, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic from either side.
Once broken out the voids were covered with planks until the car park closed at 22:00; when the reinstating works commenced, foam backing cord was fitted into the existing joint; Connect 03 was then applied and rubbed into substrate before the SM 150 band was firmly rolled into place being careful to leave a middle movement strip. The CPS 20/70 profile was then glued into position using Connect 03 and let to set.
