As part of the rebuilding of Croke Park to meet the requirements of the 21st century, Grafton Architects developed a specification and the colour mix (ie blend of aggregate and particle size) with Larsen and Degussa for flooring areas in Phase 2 of the works. Trial floors were laid to test for slip resistance and whether the floors could be cleaned with a practical maintenance regime before and after events . This was a key issue for John Sisk & Son Ltd prior to awarding the sub contract to Larsen contracts. There were four phases of work in the rebuilding of this stadium which caters for approximately 82,000 people, as follows:

1. Cusack Stand ( No involvement for Larsen in the floors )
2. The Canal End (Now the Davin Stand)
3. Hogan Stand
4. Hill 16

In Phases 2-4, all concession units (ie hot food, sandwich shops, bars) had a Degussa MMA anti slip decorative quartz floor laid with a cove up-stand to allow ease of cleaning. The anti-slip surface laid was tailored to suit food production and a wet environment but still needed to be durable and easily cleaned. Furthermore, all toilets were coved and sub floors screeds laid with Larcem 55 polymer-modified screed laid to falls to allow for drainage. The MMA system laid on top providing a seamless floor.
