Dulux operate the largest paint manufacturing facility in Ireland which manufactures high performance coatings, woodcare and decorative paints. The filling shop in the Cork site was upgraded as part of reorganisation of production. As part of this project, the working environment and appearance of the filling shop were to be improved with the installation of new flooring. Dulux, in partnership with Remmers, specified a low maintenance, level, anti-static floor so that paint and solvent spills were easy to clean whilst maintaining the aesthetics of the floor and surroundings. Over three weekends, Larsen mobilised to site to prepare, supply and apply 1000m2 of various Remmers epoxy high build coatings and self smoothing, solvent free screeds. At the end of each phase of work on Monday mornings at 6am, all new floors were left in a condition so that normal paint filling operations resumed. Larsen scheduled works to meet this key requirement of the client as well as accommodating other construction works on site at the same time.
