The RNLI provide a 24 hour lifeboat search and rescue service around Great Britain and Ireland. To meet the need for facilities ,the RNLI has a continuous programme of maintenance, modernisation and new building works. Recently, Larsen Contracts installed a Degafloor FB system in the boathouse and slipway areas of the Youghal lifeboat station. Washing down of rescue boats and exposure to the elements had led to degradation of the floor due to the lack of chemical resistance to salts. The Degafloor FB system was selected by the client to address the difficult environment in which the rescue teams operated.
