The redevelopment of Ballymena Showgrounds provided Larsen Contracts with a challenge to provide an aesthetically pleasing yet durable coating to the concrete terracing. The Warden Street stadium hosts many sporting and social events in the area. In recent years, Larsen Contracts have completed many projects for sporting facilities including resin screeding and coatings for wet rooms, toilets and corridors as well as concrete repair and protection externally. Remmers FAS 100 system was approved by the project architect and main contractor for the repairs so that a slip resistant surface was provided. All of the existing surfaces of the treads and risers were prepared by grinding and vacuuming to remove all residual dust. This epoxy resin mortar system was supplied and applied by Larsen Contracts.
