Industrial Flooring Solution for Waste Treatment Plant The Concrete floor in Dargan Road Waste Treatment facility in Belfast had been subject to constant wear and tear caused by 30 tonne loading shovels moving waste into bunkers. In this form of environment the floor is exposed to conditions that constantly stress and eventually damage the floor surface. Following site survey, Larsen Contracts identified a unique solution to the problem recommending the installation of highly abrasive resistant topping system ( Densitop®)  for the 1200m2 of concrete flooring at the facility. Densitop® is a thin high strength cement based wearing course for use in extreme environments. Densitop® can be applied on both new and existing concrete Larsen Contracts undertook necessary concrete repairs to the surface including scabbling. Following application of Densit primer with Densitop® then applied to the surface. The works took 6 weeks to complete whilst the facility was out of service  and was completed  on budget on time
